Youth Development

St John Tasmania youth are everyday kids doing extraordinary things.

ABOUT ST JOHN YOUTH – WHO WE ARE

St John Youth is a national youth program that commenced in the 1920s, based on the values of St John Ambulance and founded on a strong community focus, it encourages an active role in Service, Community, First Aid and Leadership. Youth members will develop their skills in communication, teamwork and leadership. Many of our young members have found St John Ambulance Tasmania youth programs to be a valuable stepping stone for careers in paramedicine, nursing, medicine or other emergency services. There are even badges and awards that can be recognised for achievements. They can also earn Tasmanian Certificate of Education points along the way.

St John Youth is all about having fun, meeting new people, learning valuable First Aid skills and embracing service through adventure! What are you waiting for?

SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY

St John Ambulance Tasmania is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all young people participating in St John activities, programs, events or services. St John has zero tolerance for child abuse and neglect. We take all allegations and concerns about abuse very seriously. St John will always have systems in place to ensure that young people do not experience abuse, neglect, harm or exploitation during their involvement with us.
