It includes information about the use, storage and documentation of administration as well as ongoing monitoring of the casualty. Further training in the administration of Entonox is available upon request.

This course is designed to give you the confidence, knowledge and skills to recognise and manage asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies including the use of the asthma inhaler and the adrenaline auto-injector. It also teaches prevention and risk minimisation strategies and how to develop and implement a management plan to reduce the risk for those diagnosed with Asthma or Anaphylaxis.

St John recommends, as per the First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice and the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, that asthma and anaphylaxis skills are renewed every 2 years.

Accredited Training Course

This course gives you the skills to perform risk assessments and determine your first aid needs in line with WHS legislations and the first aid codes of practice. It also teaches you how to design and run first aid facilities (such as sick rooms) and implement and monitor incident responses in your workplace. This course should be completed by anyone who is responsible for coordinating first aiders or managing a first aid facilities. More information can be found here.
