Online Fee: $94 per person – 4.5 hour assessment only

Education and Care First Aid is a course specifically designed to meet the needs of people working in the childhood learning industry. This course is tailored towards anyone working with children. It covers child specific first aid in many high-risk areas such as anaphylaxis and asthma as well as common injuries and resuscitation. The Australian Children’s Education & Care Authority (ACEAQA) has endorsed the course as meeting their requirements for anaphylaxis, asthma and first aid training.

This course is for those that wish to recertify their training every 12 months.

Certificate:
On successful completion of the course you will be issued a Certificate which is a statement of attainment in:
HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID003 Provide first aid
HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting

22300VIC Course in first aid management of anaphylaxis

St John recommends, as per the First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice and the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, that first aid skills are renewed every three years and resuscitation skills are renewed (HLTAID001/HLTAID007 ) every 12 months.

• Infection control

Assessment is through a combination of practical first aid activities and a written test paper. To support your face to face to face 1 day training you MUST complete the online ‘Final Assessment’ and bring the printed certificate to the course.
