Accredited Training Course

This course covers the material in the first half of the Provide First Aid Course. The content will provide you with the skills to manage emergency first aid situations, including managing the unconscious casualty, performing CPR, controlling bleeding and managing other life-threatening situations. It is suitable for people in workplaces and members of the public who want to be able to manage an emergency first aid situation.

Certificate
On successful completion of this course you will be issued a statement of attainment in:
– HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
– HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support

St John Ambulance recommends, as per the First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice and the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, that first aid skills are renewed every 3 years and resuscitation skills (HLTAID009/HLTAID015) are renewed every 12 months.
