The St John Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course gives you the skills to perform CPR on a person who is unconscious and not breathing normally. You will require the knowledge and confidence to perform CPR on an adult, child and infant, to describe alternative methods for delivering rescue breaths and how to manage a victim of drowning.

This course is best suited to people who are new to CPR or would like to gain in-depth strong life-saving skills.

Annual Assessment
(Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Assessment Only)
Students complete 1.5 hours of short practice and then assessment face-to-face. This option is for those who are confident in their skills and are experienced first aiders, health care professionals and people who complete their training regularly.
As this is only assessments, no training will be provided on the day.

St John Ambulance recommends, as per the First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice and the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, that first aid skills are renewed every 3 years and resuscitation skills (HLTAID009/HLTAID015) are renewed every 12 months.
