Serving Tasmanians for over 130 years

Your Will, Our Future
First aid saves lives and that’s just what St John Ambulance has been doing in Tasmania for over 130 years. We exist to serve those in need – sickness, distress, suffering and danger.
St John is a self-funded not-for-profit. Our work is varied and includes our event health services, youth development, community care, first aid in schools, first aid training, first aid supplies, mobility and patient transport.
Any bequest or donation to St John Ambulance Tasmania is a recognition of our efforts and the importance to the benefactor, to see these services continue.
Your generous bequest or donation, regardless of size, will be gratefully received and applied to the works of St John.
Kind regards,
Ross Byrne

What to do
There are a number of ways you can leave a gift to St John Ambulance Tasmania in your Will.
Your gift to us is a personal and private matter we will be profoundly grateful, whichever you choose.
One popular way is to make a ‘residual gift’. This is a percentage of your estate left after all other gifts are made.
A residual bequest, or a specified share or percentage of your residuary estate, after all debts and expenses have been paid, and other gifts distributed- ensures your family and love ones are taken care of first.
Other common ways to leave a gift are:
A Pecuniary Gift is when you provide for a fixed or stated sum in your Will.
A Specific Gift is when you leave a specific item, such as property or shares.

Suggested wording for different types of gifts/bequests:
